OR if you want more first-person puzzle games you might try the free to play Tag: the power of paint (which inspired the making of portal 2) or check out the portal mods there the story IS one of the best in video game history and if you enjoy it as much as I do, you'llwant to play HL2 episode 1 and HL2 episode 2 (only after that you might try HL1).and then you'll hate VALVe for not making Half Life 3 like everyone on this planet.
Having said that, you have to try Half Life 2. today HL1 is only for hardcore VALVe or HL2 fans, who just want to know what happened before Half life 2. I think half life 1 is too old to be played these days and the story really isn't that deep. Half Life has that, and so it's really enjoyable as well, but it's been difficult trying to find games that pull me in and I can't put down in the same way. I'm currently playing half life, and it's really fun, but the thing I really enjoyed about portal is how in depth the story was and all the little things that if you really payed attention, you would notice.
